Sure does...........there are 3 mechanisms of injury. 1 - the object (car or bike) hits another object (wall or tree), 2 - the body hits the vehicle (or tree if on a bike) and 3 - the insides of your body (liver, heart, lungs) hit each other.....so in essence, when you wreck you are getting hurt 3x. So, in answer to your question..........yes, his back probably hurts and will for a while

If you crash into a tree with your bike you are likely to get a lot of different injuries.

Yes.

Are you asking if it is normal to crash or to be injured in the crash? I don't know your dad or his driving habits. But if he has had many crashes, perhaps he should get his eyes checked. A tree is pretty immobile and unmovable. If you crash into it, you are going to get hurt. I hope he is more careful if he rides again. I hope you are helping him recover.

do you mean bicycle or motorcycle? if he was going fast enough on either one, yes he could have hurt his back badly. there isn't as much protection on a bike or motorcycle as there is in a car or truck. the helmet protects the head, but the rest of the body is pretty much unprotected. Good luck to your dad!
