Lately I've been sleeping more than 13 hours each day. If I don't work, then I spend most of the day on the computer, napping, and laying on the couch watching TV. I should be studying but I feel too tired. When I wake up in the morning I usually eat cereal or something and take a nap for a couple hours after that. Then I wake up and have no appetite most of the day, I feel like vomiting. Could it just be due to stress? There are a lot of stressful things going on in my life right now. But the tiredness is physical, I feel totally exhausted all the time. Anything I can do? Anyone have similar symptoms?

I've had similar problems where I end up sleeping way more hours than I am awake for and I never feel energized. Right now, my doctor is looking into Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) - it causes a person to be tired almost all of the time, but there really isn't a well proven cure, most people just have to live with it and try different things to see if it works for them. There is no real test for CFS, basically doctors first try to rule out all other possibilities for the fatigue. There are many other possibilities for your tiredness: depression, low iron, medications, etc. The best thing to do is go to a doctor and start doing some testing so you can hopefully find the cause and then hopefully find a way to start feeling better. It is most helpful if you can take a journal with you where you have kept track of how often and when you sleep and have listed all other symptoms you may have experienced besides the loss of appetite that you may not realize are related, such as headaches, sore muscles, problems with your eyes, confusion, trouble concentrating, etc.
Good luck - hope you feel better soon!

You may be suffering from depression or there may be a physiological cause. You say you've lost your appetite, but do you feel thirsty a lot? If so diabetes might be an issue.

You should really see a doctor as soon as possible, who may be able to do some blood tests to find out what's wrong.

Hope you feel better soon.

It sounds like you could be clinically depressed. Sleeping is one of the symptoms when done in excess. You could also be diabetic. Have you had any blood tests run lately. You should see a doctor. Your behavior is not normal.

You should see a doctor instead of asking us just in case it is something serious. Good luck
