A friend of mine found a grey hair when she was still at school (must have been about 14) She was very dark and I think dark hair either goes grey earlier, or maybe just shows up more. I don't think it's unusual to grey early, lots of people do. and don't worry about it, it's not a sign of old age.

I just finished school and there was a guy in my class who was about 17 who was getting grey hairs. I think its probably genetic - sometimes skips a generation. My grandfather lost all his hair in his early 20's and my uncle also lost his hair in his 20's too. Grey hairs are probably better than no hair. If you dont like it then dye your hair. There is also this stuff i saw on tv that you spray in your hair to hide the grey-ness and to make your hair look thicker. Hope this helps.

You are not a freak, a girl I work with started going grey at 16! It can happen that way I'm afraid, get a semi colour if you're worried about it showing but don't go for permanent if you only have a few, the roots will be a problem if you do

nope - it can happen at any time. it's mainly down to genetics. i got my first grey hair at 23, but my friend's father's hair had turned completely white by the time he was your age, so count your blessings !!! u have 2 options - either accept it and console yourself with the fact that u are by no means alone in having this problem, or dye it. personally, i would just try to lean to live with it. u get used to it after a while, and in the grand scheme of things, it's really not that bad. !

I got my first gray hair at 25. At 42, I probably only have 10 or 15 total. Luckily they tend to fall out. Don't worry about early gray - its natural. When I was in highschool, one of my teachers was completely gray, and he was only 34. If it bothers you, use a coloring. If you're uncomfortable buying coloring, ask the stylist/barber the next time you get your hair cut for a recommendation.

Welcome to my world....grey hair doesn't just happen to old people..it is a process just like anything else. I noticed my first at about 23 or 24. I am now 32 and am starting the streaks...you know like the highlights women pay for..only mine are silver. And yes some of them have a mind of their own...some tend to be wiry or kinky...go figure. I am still predominantly brunette...but if the sun hits me just right you can really see them.
The only way to fix them is by coloring your hair. Which I tend to think is quite a drag...
When we are still young they start sneaking in and by the time your older you will realize that turning grey does not happen overnight....you can either go with it gracefully or you can fight it ,....it is entirely up to you !!!

Awwe sweetie don't worry about it! If you truly are insecure about it try Just For Men.. I think that's what it's called... It's suppose to gradually darken the graying hair... Good Luck.

No, my husband started getting them about 28. He keeps saying it's my fault, and that backfired on him, cos he is nearly 30% grey now. I myself have not a one yet and I'm older than him. So it just serves him right for being cruel to me.

not all old people get white hair. Young people get white hair as well ,it's just not as common. there is ,of coarse a simple solution, dye your hair. I know plenty of situations of younger people having grey hair. You aren't alone.
