Is it connected to the foods you eat? I eat a lot of fruit and due to this also can suffer flatulence. It was suggested to me to eat the bulk of the fruit a couple hours before I go to bed and only fruit. That way, not only is the problem happening at night where you are less likely to be embarrassed in comparison to being at work where loads can hear (or smell!) them, but you are not eating other foods on top of so the food cannot be digested properly and will therefore cause the flatulence.
You will need to make a food diary of what you eat and eliminate a food group for a week then reintroduce it so you can see if it is this particular food group that is the problem. It does take time but eventually you will get the the root of the problem.
Another suggestion is to get a food intolerance test done which will cost about £45 in a health shop. You then eliminate all of the foods you are intolerant to, hopefully this will clear up the problem faster.

You are probably lactose intolerant.
Stop drinking milk.
Try yogurt instead.
Citrus can cause it.
It depends on the combination of foods you eat.
Experiment with some herbs by adding them to your foods.
Add some dried rosemary to your raw foods, and see how it affects you.
Eliminate some of the stress.
Chances are you are also territorial, skunk like,
no joke.
Something or someone bothers you and off you go.

If you like red wine and well-tenderised steak, then this solution will be ideal. Buy a bottle of red wine, nothing ostentatious, something in the £15 to £20 range. Purchase a medium weight, stainless steel meat tenderising mallet. Uncork the wine.

Use the mallet to bang the cork up your jacksie.

Works every time.

Use bean-o, as it neutrolizes the gas.

Also, may want to cut down on the protein. Excess protein isn't absorbed after a certain point and moves on from the small intestine to the colon. There, anerobes (like e.coli) break it down and their metabolism causes the gas buildup.

You could try two things - old-fashioned peppermint water, available from most chemists, healthstores, Boots etc. Or you could try "Buscopan" (hyoscine-N-Butylbromide), which is an anto-spasmodic and helps calm muscle spasm of the bowel. Not sure where you live but if not available from your local chemist, your GP might prescribe it for you - is relatively harmless. Good Luck!

Charcoal biscuits (available for food health stores) should help.

Also should cutting down on your consumption of wind-producing foods, such as most kinds of beans.

Make sure when you're eating, you keep your mouth shut, that should reduce the amount of air mixing with the food you're chewing.

Hope the above helps!

Peppermint ......
you can get capsules of peppermint oil from the chemist.....
