Intense itching and a feeling of electric sparks hitting your skin?

body parts tend you go numb or fall asleep easy?

Abdominal cramping on both the left and right sides after eating?
(I have been checked by a Doctor and they do not know why this is, I am suspecting its from adderall)

Sudden Panic attacks?

When I get the intense itching, I found taking a Clariton for allergies settles it right down, but I am just wondering if anyone else has better ideas.

I have been on Adderall for 2 for Adult ADD and it really changed my life and I don't want to go back the way I was. However I am also wondering if anyone taking Adderall has had any long term damaging effects?

Amphetamine-dextroamphetamine (Brand name Aderall)

If you experience any of the following serious side effects, stop taking amphetamine-dextroamphetamine and seek emergency medical attention:
an allergic reaction (difficulty breathing; closing of the throat; swelling of the lips, tongue, or face; or hives);
an irregular heartbeat or very high blood pressure (severe headache, blurred vision); or
hallucinations, abnormal behavior, or confusion.
Other, less serious side effects may be more likely to occur. Continue to take amphetamine-dextroamphetamine and talk to your doctor if you experience

restlessness or tremor;
anxiety or nervousness;
headache or dizziness;
insomnia;
dryness of the mouth or an unpleasant taste in the mouth;
diarrhea or constipation; or
impotence or changes in sex drive.
Amphetamine-dextroamphetamine is habit forming. Physical and psychological dependence may occur with the use of this medication, and withdrawal effects may occur if you stop taking it suddenly after several weeks of continuous use. Talk to your doctor about stopping this medication gradually.

Side effects other than those listed here may also occur. Talk to your doctor about any side effect that seems unusual or that is especially bothersome.

No way is that at all normal. Don't touch it as it obviously doesn't agree with you, and maybe it's an allergic reaction. Hopefully for your sake it is and things will go back to normal without any more complications. I've just got a little information regarding a previous post here so you don't get any misconceptions about other disorders. I'm really sure that this is nothing to do with bipolar. If it was then your emotions would be going crazy so it could never be this charged or depressed nothingness as you decribe it. Someones perceptions can become deluded and even hallucinations can come across with bipolar but this when your emotions feel like they're overloaded.

Adderall's Typical Side Effects: The usual for stimulants - headache, nausea, dry mouth, sweating, insomnia, constipation, weight loss, heart palpitations, raised blood pressure, dizziness, horniness. Generally everything clears up up after a couple weeks except the constipation, weight loss, increased blood pressure and increased libido. So unless you have blood pressure issues and/or real problems with being too thin and/or too horny already I'm sure you can live with the typical side effects.

Adderall's Not So Common Side Effects: Triggering a manic reaction. More often than not this happens when someone is misdiagnosed as only having ADD/ADHD when they are also bipolar. Although you won't find "manic reaction" as a side effect anywhere in the PI sheet, you'll find every symptom of mania listed instead. This is a great CYA (Cover Your ***) move by Shire for the doctors prescribing it. Hey, it doesn't trigger mania, it just causes a bunch of symptoms that are like mania! I had one person write me about her bipolar disorder that was in complete remission for 14 years getting completely hosed by an Adderall prescription from a doctor who must have been convinced she only had ADD/ADHD. Other not-so-common side effects are tics, twitches and exacerbation or unmasking of Tourette's or similar syndromes, depression and screwing with your menstrual cycle.
These may or may not happen to you don't, so don't be surprised one way or the other.

Adderall's Freaky Rare Side Effects: Amphetamines don't have much in the way of freaky rare side effects. I may dig up something on PubMed later. The closest thing I can find is the combination of increased libido and impotence.
You aren't going to get these. I promise.

It works good but the main problem I see is over time the doses have to be upped and addiction is a big problem.

I would talk to the doctor about the intense itching...sooner rather than later. If allergy medicine is stopping it, then it seems safe to conclude it is some sort of allergic reaction. If so, it could be really dangerous to stay on the Adderall.

Have you tried any of the other ADHD meds available? Maybe it is something in that particular medication...although the stimulants are all similar, they do not all have the same active (and inactive) ingredients.
