(disambiguation).
Within Christianity, the doctrine of the Trinity states that God is a single Being who exists, simultaneously and eternally, as a perichoresis of three persons (hypostases, personae): Father (the Source, the Eternal Majesty); the Son (the eternal Logos or Word, incarnate as Jesus of Nazareth); and the Holy Spirit (the Paraclete or advocate). Since the 4th Century, in both Eastern and Western Christianity, this doctrine has been stated as "One God in Three Persons," all three of whom, as distinct and co-eternal "persons" or "hypostases," share a single Divine essence, being, or nature. The Holy Spirit is our helper here on earth. There is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It's sort of like 1 x 1 x 1 = 1. God bless!

the concept of trinity is not a bible teaching. And to answer your question, the holy spirit is the force/power that God uses to perform his actions.God is the father whose name is Jehovah and Jesus is the name of his son.Mark13:32"Of that day or that hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the son,but only the father."obviously if the trinity teaching was true,Jesus would know what his father knows and even if you say that he was limited by his human nature, then he would have said that the holy spirit knows.

the holy spirit -- that is something that has always bugged me. I think the holy spirit is the feeling of community among all Christians, the desire to do good and to build a Christian community. Obviously, nobody has paid much attention to the Holy Spirit in a long, long time, if they ever have.

The Holy Spirit is not a person but God's power or active force that he uses to accomplish his will.

I don't really understand how there can be three divine creatures in Christianity either. But I remember that the holy spirit comes down as a source of comfort to reassure people. It seems to be depicted as a bright light in some old paintings.

The holy spirit is the part of God that is left on this earth. It isw omnipresent (that means is it everywhere) it was left with us when Jesus ascended the clouds into heaven and went to be with God the Father.

So try to look at it like this, God as water,Jesus as ice, and The Holy Sprite as steam. They all are H2O, but in different forms. But still the same thing.

In the original Greek, the Holy Spirit was referred to as feminine.
therefore, it is the feminine portion of god, a continuation out of Judaic traditions, where the Hs in YHVH were the sacred femnine.
