1. You can mix them with some sweetened condensed milk, but that changes the look.
2. Keep your cake covered with a cake keeper. I use my largest size plastic bowl. You set the cake on the inverted bowl lid and cover it with the bowl.
3. I personally prefer slightly crunchy coconut. Toast the flakes in a pan until slightly brown. The outside will be crisp and the inside with be chewy.
