it depends weather they're stiff or just crunchy...if they're stiff it helps if you sift the flour before you measure it. that usually makes perfectly tender cookies. if they're too crunchy, you can cook them slightly less, just do a couple of test ones to see the result you like the best. but other than that i can't really help you without seeing the recipe..

Cook them a bit less. They should look a little bit undercooked when you take them out of the oven, as the heat they have absorbed will continue to cook them a bit after they have been removed from the oven.
