I tried to install my uncle's but the password was already set and the ip address part is not working

And after you have reset it, you will have to configure it for your connection, you know, allow it to detect the IP, DHCP and all that good stuff...

reset the device so all information saved in it will be deleted and it'll go back to it's factory settings. That's when you can configure it with you own settings.

There is a reset button the back. Try that. otherwise you have to get the password from him.
