my sister and I are both 14 and we are identical twins! I hate it so much because she loves being a twin so much she tries to do everything the same as me like putting her hair the same, doing the same sports as me, wearing the same makeup, same clothes style, ect. I am getting fed up with it because I want to be my own person and she doesn't feel the same way. What are some ways I can change that I know she either won't want to change or CAN'T change? I tried changing my clothes style and hair but I like my hair and clothes. We both have the blonde hair prep style. i dyed my hair brown but hated it so now what should I do?

I think you should still do the things that define who you are. Try talking your sister, "You idolize me. You are always copying me in anyway. The whole "twin thing" dressing alike and doing the same things was really cute when we were little, but it would kinda be nice to have my own identity." Maybe her sister intimates you in a way young children intimate their parents and older siblings. I think that maybe your sister is in a sense afraid to develop her own identity?. Talk to her and maybe help her develop her own style and interests. About changing in a way you KNOW your sister can't, there are always something that do can do but your sister can't because she does not have the ability. You just have to find that through trial and error. Time will tell, you just have to be patient and find it. If you hate your hair, then change it back. If you can bring out your personality, desires, dreams, and goals that will definitely differentiate you and your twin.

Well, this doesn't sound very nice, but you could say you're going to go and get your hair cut really short, and go off as if for your appointment, but not get it cut at all. If she would be sufficiently keen to go and get hers cut the same day, she might get it done before realising you hadn't. That would only be a short term solution though. Another possibility would be to try to get your clothes somewhere she wouldn't be able to go or wouldn't know where. And another would be, if you could get some one-off items made up for you, or make things for yourself if you were talented that way, then she couldn't have copies, although she might borrow yours.

The best solution might be to talk to her about it and explain how unhappy you are to feel like one of a matching pair, and how much better you would BOTH look if you accentuated the differences between you as well as the similarities. This might work unless she is actually doing this deliberately to annoy you.

Well, you should just change the way you do your hair when she doesnt know. change it up alot. so she wont know how you are going to do it. pretend you are going to wear something and when she gets the same clothes put it back and get something esle. she will get the point or just straight up tell her. omfg yall are twins yall should be able to talk about anything. tell her, dont be scared of her.

Write a journal, or a blog if you want. Share thoughts that can ONLY be yours.
You know your sister loves you, but I understand that it can be tough for someone in your situation.

Good luck, and try not to be mad at your sister for loving you too much.
