Why do women shave their pubic area?

I'm sat here with my fella who just said that women only shave their (bits) to attract men. Well I can't see how they would attract many men because it's not an area you would immediately expose to them. But why do we do it, for men or for ourselves?

You have to admit, a neatly trimmed area is much better looking than a hedgerow, all unkempt and out of control. It must be more hygienic, and when anyone is down there having a bit of fun, what better that to see plenty of soft pink flesh rather than a mass of uncontrollable wig. Of course, its not only women who need to keep there most private areas tidy, would a woman not prefer their man to be neatly trimmed and clean and tidy, of course they would. So come on, lets all get trimmed for our next session on the bed, you wont regret it...

I don't shave mine and it's never held me back with the lads. I'm not a very hairy person though.

I have removed all hair in that area once or twice just for a laugh. It was fun but too cold for the long term. Plus with no hair at all it's uncomfortable during sex, too much friction.

I say women do it because they think men fancy it more, but only a few men would insist on it.

Some women do it for each other... and why not? Personally it does not matter. I prefer well trimmed, also I would not call it a fad because it's been going on for so long!

LOL. I personally don't shave all of mine off. I do it so that there is about a mil of hair left all over. Stops you from having to stand there itching, in public and eventually it drives you mad.

Why do I do it? Well because SFS (smelly fanny syndrome) is alot better when you have less hair. lol

Also sex is so much better when it is short. Also men dont seem to have so much of a problem in doing it either. I wonder why?

Men may think we do it for them. But that is not true. Alot of women do it for hygiene.

Also if a man wants you to cut all yours off, then suggest you do it together and see if he is still up for it.

i shave the lot off in the summer for hygeine reasons, i hate feeling clammy but other than that it does seem to have quite an effect on men! (except my ex who is totally bed boring). i shaved to spice up the sex life before now i must admit

Becuase its looks nicer, and seems more hygenic, plus hairs dont grown neatly so no hairs at all is better, and no one lyks hair pokin out the sides of their panties..and less hair is easier acess and more sensativity for some women...lol SO IVE HEARD

Though there are men who find it sexy but NO, it's not for the sake of men only, it's primarily for the women's hygiene.

I also think we do it cos it is the fashion - as simple as that. Things with sex start off as a bit daring (stuff only in porn) and then they become more main-stream and everyone does it.

Men like it cos they can see more, and it feels smooth.

I feel its a bore to keep removing the hair, but he likes it and i like to keep him happy!

If you've ever had the discomfort of hair in back of throat, no amount of tongue scraping water gargling can shift it. It ruins what should be a wonderfully erotic experience for you ladies and us guys. Bit like having a finger rammed up your butt when you not expect it!!!!!!!!!!
