what websites are there to buy the cigarettes?

If you "import" for resale you pay Excise duty - you ain't gonna make a fast buck.
You can bring as much as you like back from europe for your own personal use, saving money in the process. but if you bring more than 16 cartons, the naughty police will assume that you're planning t re-sell. They CAN confiscate your cigs AND your car - often they will.
I tried one of those websites once - I'm still waiting.

In addition to some other answers:

I believe sometime in this or last year someone did win an important case against excise and duty to the effect that they can no longer confiscate your car etc.

Basically, I think customs were told by the European Court to keep their noses out of peoples business when they are bringing in cigarettes and alcohol for personal use.

Not yet but there was something on the news last week about an EU ruling which may permit the import of cigs and wine etc. I cant wait for that, Im sick of this govt ripping us off.
