That's as individual as each injury.... I was shot in the head in 1970 and trust me, recovery is a daily battle that probably won't end until I die...

I had a head injury in 1981. Motor bike accident, 3/12 in coma and I'm still getting over it. Some things will never be fixed, such as my memory (short term) will never work properly but hey "Such is life" You just get on with it and be thankful you're not dead.
