What do you guys think about muslims?

i like muslims because i have alot of my friends who r muslims but alot of people think they're bad..they are like you and me but treated alot worse and im doing a report for school about what people think about muslims and i just want some input from you guys

There are a lot of good persons and unfortunately even bigger number of bad persons in the world. Some of them are Muslims, others are Christians, some Buddhists and so on.

Individual people should be judged according to their being and behavior and not by their religion, or sex or skin color or anything else.

Nevertheless, nowadays most of our miseries in the world are connected to or originated from Muslims. See Al-Quada, 9/11, Saddam Hussein, Iran, Hisbollah, Hamas, suicide bombers, terror in London, terror in Spain and the list is going one. Today Islam represents the ultimate evil.

I've been a Muslim for 2 years now and i think Muslim people are the most thoughtful, generous, kind and open people i have ever met. Family is so important in the Islamic culture there's no putting your grandparents into care homes. There wife's, sister, nieces, aunts and mothers are treated with the utmost respect, care and protection. I never felt safer than since i became a Muslim. You feel so much peace and unity and i just respect them and adore them so much.

People should distinguish between the people and an idea. The people are fine, they're people like any others. I don't like the "idea" that they subscribe to. Basically this comes down to:

"Muslims = good"
"Islam = bad"

Most of the problems between religions are caused by a confusion of the two statements. Some people don't like a religion and think that that means all the followers are bad. Some people think that if you don't like their religion you don't like them. I disagree - you shouldn't start hating people just because you disagree with what they believe in (some of by best friends support Liverpool). Conversely, you shouldn't feel the need to agree with them just because you like them.

Sorry, I don't like them. I've done my time in Iraq and Afghanistan and have dealt with many, good and the bad, more bad than anything, but, if muslims are true to their religion, than by definition, they are a threat to the free world. They desire to turn the entire world to a muslim state, by any means necessary. Sounds pretty bad to me. Maybe im biased, but, i don't see any real good coming from that religion, just hate, hate against any non muslims and even hate between themselves.

They're equal to everyone else. There are good and bad muslims, in my opinion. Muslim terrorists have given them a bad name, but the majority are good people.

I don't 'bother' about muslims. I have no ill will or bad feeling towards them, just as I have no bad feeling towards anyone who follows a religious doctrine. I have my own beliefs and they have theirs.

I do take exception to anyone though, regardless of religion, who tries to convince me that their beliefs are the "right way" and that I am "wrong".

thats just like asking...what do you guys think about christians? its not really fair to group people by their religion. there are alot of christians who murder and do other terrible harm to others, but we don't point our fingers at the entire population of christians and accuse them all of being "bad" because a few hundred thousand of them are.

They are human beings and deserve respect just like the rest of us. Anyone who hates people because of their race or cultural background is an idiot in my opinion.
