the love. He said we will be known because we love one another. May I wake you up a little.

In a big way today we are pretty much invisible by that standard, ask the non believers

Jesus was talking about those looking from the outside in. Does the world looking in not see a lot of loveless activity.

I am not saying there is no love but I am saying there are many ways from the outside it would appear there is a lot of lets say less than lovable practices going on----denominations as an example.

Disagreement in and of itself is NOT the problem.

It is how we deal with the disagreement. Do we respect each other's opinions? Or do we just claim that people who disagree with our way our going to Hell?

Do we let the disagreements get in the way of the practice of love and making the world a better place and especially helping the poor people?

The choice is ours. We make it every day.

We are supposed to help others without bragging—one hand not knowing what the other is doing. Therefore, the many Christians who are doing wonderful things go unnoticed, while the few who scream intolerance get lots of attention.

I think the best any of us can do is try to live our own lives pleasing to Christ. We can’t change the intolerant; we can only take responsibility for our own actions and words.

Speaking of the good things, our church has an angel child program to buy gifts for the children who have a parent in prison. Those of us who wanted to buy gifts for a child were supposed to pick up a name after church. By the time we got out there, every one was taken. We could have twice and many names and had enough volunteers to buy presents.

We also do the Christmas Child program and we kept running out of shoe boxes.

Last Friday we handed out nearly 100 turkeys with everything needed to make a nice meal

And this is not a large church.

Churches everywhere are doing these things but for the most part they go unnoticed by those outside the faith communities. All they know of Christians are the Fred Phelps of the world.

Spreading the love is important to true Christians. It doesn't matter how big your church is. Infact, if it gets too big then it becomes out of control.

The church I go to, focuses on everyone's relationship with the Jesus and as the church grows bigger, they develop smaller groups so that no one gets left out.

I agree with what you're saying about loving one another, but in regard to the 'useless ideas' you reference, does this scripture mean anything to you? 1 Timothy 4:16
Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because IF you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.

a touch tale by way of answering your question: decrease back contained in the ninety's, we owned a huge ninety 5 pound German shepherd who does not have understood the which technique of the time period "aggressive" in case you'll shown it to him contained in the dictionary. One weekend, our associates requested us to babysit for Monday, their yappy little terrier blend. Monday the terrier loved not something more effective than to annoy Cody the shepherd by nipping his legs, pouncing on him as he tried to sleep, and purely typically making a soreness of her 10 pound self. consisting of his universal solid nature, Cody tolerated the little twerp's efforts to make his existence depressing. I walked into the front room one afternoon --purely to make sure my enormous German shepherd status there with Monday putting onto his lip, all 4 feet off the floor. He gave me the canines equivalent of a shrug and a glance that obviously reported, "you recognize, i have inhaled issues that are larger than this. . .why complication?" With that, he trotted off to his kennel with Monday nonetheless connected and all 4 feet frantically pawing air. replace the words "Christian who's take care of of their faith" and "yappy little bigot" for Cody and Monday in that tale, and the analogy will be crystal sparkling.
