chain them to a major appliance or the bed so they can't leave?

Chain them to the washer. Then at least they can do your laundry while you are away. If you chain them to the fridge they will eat all your food. Chain them to the bed and they may evacuate themselves upon your fine linens. Chaining them to the washer/dryer is also, for some reason I can't explain, curiously erotic. And as we all know, non-kinky sex is a waste of time.

Hee hee Well I've been a willing participant in a chained to the bed incident(gotta love police officers) So I'd go with chained to the bed.
However, I think that letting them leave, and sending a nice note or email thanking them for the pleasure of their company is more appropriate.
Unless you know for sure that they'd be a willing participant...

Neither is really a suitable solution.
The correct course is to offer a new invitation before the end of the visit and to send a note, a card or an e-mail in the morning confirming the plans and thanking them for their wonderful company.
Trust me, attentive appreciation will bind them more permanently than a chain.

I don't think chaining them to something will be the answer but if you enjoyed them being over, asked them over again and if they say o then there was nothing about the to enjoy them anyway.

To the bed only if you want to get on with them. To the appliance with you want them for dinner.

I'm going to go with bed, because if they're hanging out with the washing machine and repeating the spin cycle I'm not doing my job.

Chain 'em to the car bumper and then ask, "Hey Baby! Wanna drag?"

None would be appropriate. you should try to tell them how much you are enjoying their company and how much you would like them to stay. if ur lucky they might accept.
