I'm getting along really well with a guy who has a fan club (girls who call him all the time, obsess about him, etc). He's generally pretty nice to the girls in his fan club, and he's really nice to me, so how do I know that he doesn't think of me as one of his "fans?"
We hang out occasionally and we've talked several times.

by not going too crazy over him and allow him to know that you're special because you don't fawn. that's called being cool and collected. if he calls you, then show him you like him and are glad he called, so don't play games that way.

i'm having that exact same problem!
I guess you can tell if he pays more attention to you, and seems more "real" with you. A way to prevent him from thinking of you as one of his "fans" is to not gush over him, but tease/insult him a little bit, since i doubt all the other girls are doing that!

Only time will tell. Anticipation is more than half the fun!
