Go to http://www.tsa.gov/ and they have the guidelines on what you can and cannot bring on the aircraft. I believe they keep this website updated at all times as things are changing everyday.

Have a great trip.

As long as the lipstick is a tube and not a gloss you put on with a wand it is not a liquid. And powder also is not a liquid. Powder solids were never restricted. Mascara however is a liquid and has to be put in a baggie.

I am quite certain that you may bring the compact although not sure about the lipstick as it may be considered a liquid/gel under the guidelines. You may try the NTSB or FAA websites for more info.

The lipstick might have to go in a plastic ziplock bag with any small liquids or gels.

No, not anymore. I remember them saying all those things are allowed back on the flights.

Aren't you able to put them in your luggage and still be allowed to transport them with you?
