Allright JD, I was NOT talking about immigration but since you had to bring it up, I can get written up in my job if I refer to a "client " as an illegal as opposed to an indocumented.

Political Correctness Is A Lie

Example
Calling An ILLEGAL ALIEN An Undocumented Immigrant
Is Like Calling A Burglar An Univited Houseguest
Or A Bank Robbery An Unauthorized Withdrawal

Follow Me ??

It's EASY Chula

It's Not Rocket Science

Let's All Stop Lying To Ourselves

Why do some people want to abolish Tellin It Like It Is ??

Good Question BTW

****
Thats A Job Related Social Stigma
Do You Carry That Stigma Home With You
Or
Are You A Call Em Like I See Em Kinda Girl ??

I'll Bet Its The Latter ;-)

First of all, with all the uptight snobs out there, it won't be abolished, and I am not saying it should be in some situations. But if you are with peers or someone that you want to get to know and you are talking it sucks if you have to act fake and "PC". Its all a game anyway, and you know what people really think about certain things anyway. Especially when they start a thought with " I know this is or isn't PC but..."

JD brings up a good point. I think people should be able to call it what it is. No matter what you say someone is going to be offended. I think we should be as respectful as possible, but not have to worry about the world crashing down (media) on us if we say something thats not "politically correct".

It should be abolished because it is anti-common sense. It places more importance on how something is said rather than what is meant. Freedom of speech is destroyed the moment we make it illegal to offend anyone. It also fosters a society that is blame oriented rather than accountable for their own emotional reactions.

The politically correct thing is ridiculous. It's just a way to avoid telling something the way it really is because to do so may offend someone. I'd like to see us all get back to just telling the truth. If the shoe fits, ....oh well!

Being PC makes us all pretentious snobs. And if there is a petition going to abolish it, then I am all for it. It offends me more when someone tries to sugar coat their opinions of me, because it makes me think they believe I am ignorant, stupid or naive in some way. That's why people are trying to get rid of it. It makes us all look like fools.

It's getting out of hand. Our local CrimeStoppers are referring to suspects as non-white when giving a physical description. That could mean just about anything. Don't want to offend anyone!

Because "political correctness" is following other people's rules. As a country, we tend to have the attitude of independence, not that of following the herd.

you're at a loss for words. computing device is loose speech, it is human beings calling you a douche, for being a douche. The FCC is a distinctive remember. The FCC does not enforce any style of computing device standards. in no way has. They enforce puritanical regulations on obscenities. whilst yahoo, a private business enterprise would possibly no longer permit you're saying ******, there is no regulation combating somebody from asserting on television, it somewhat is precisely voluntary. See you think of that as quickly as somebody is fired for making racist feedback, it is an FCC determination. it is not. it is an identical element as will pay for television, viewer approvalas expressed by potential of merchandising funds. popular visitors do no longer basically like the brazenly racist, so as that they do no longer purchase the products the brazenly racist propose. meaning no one needs to pay the brazenly racist to be on television. Get it? the loose marketplace in action. in case you're somebody human beings like. super agencies supply you cash to sell products. in case you're a racist douche, human beings do no longer supply you cash to run your yap between labeled classified ads.

Some see PC as an attempt to codify the everday, moment to moment interactions between people.
