As long as your marriage is performed in a nice manner, why can't you sell it ?
I have seen lot of advertisement offering an used wedding dress
It nothing wrong in it,
Some needy person will get from you for bit less price for him (insted of going for new one for his daughter (if you would like to give for their expected price), will both of you will not happy ???
If you need money, there is nothing to sell to get that much money, i think you can sell your wedding dress to gain back the money to use for some useful expenditure
Do charity on that money so that your heart will be cool, that the wedding dress expenditure, went some useful manner
If you would like to do more give a part of money to the people who are doing this as a job, so that will be a nice one

I don't think it's bad luck to sell your wedding dress. It is a good idea. There may be a bride looking for just your dress. Just make sure it's nice clean before you sell it. You can take it to a consignment shop, sell it over ebay, or on your own.

Make someone else's day- sell the dress and spread your good luck!

No, it is not bad luck and has nothing to do with the happiness or success of your marriage (it's a dress!). I have friends who have spent hundreds or thousands on their dresses. Sell it and use the money for something you need or want.

The only reason to keep it would be for your daughter to wear someday and most girls don't want to wear mom's dress.

It's not bad luck. I've known people to hold onto them for years and years so their daughters could be married in it, but the way styles change...most want new gowns anyway

if I were you I would sell it, you don't need it, unless you have a daughter who wants to use it for her marriage, then sell it, earn some money and go shopping!
