I am really hoping your children are grown. Either way, I think smoking during any meal is repulsive. I wouldn't smoke while I eat period (actually, I don't smoke at all) nor would I want to be around it. Try not smoking during dinner for about a week or so, you will notice that you will enjoy the flavor of your food more. Heck, my fiance smokes but prefers the non-smoking section of the restaurant because he dislikes the smell of smoke while he is eating.

OK first of all i can't believe you would post a question like this. I mean really what type of answers did you think you was going to get???? Did you think people was going to say a great look someone who does disgusting thing at the dinner table lets help her out and deside for her so she can keep smoking 10 cigs at dinner!!! And do you really think that when you put " your middle son refuses to smoke" in this that it's a bad thing? Cause that what you make it sound like. I think he should get a award or a metal for living with people like you. Your the reason that smokers get a bad rep. And 2nd i smoke and smoking at the dinner table is so disgusting i mean you can't go 20 mins with out one!!! I think you all should give your lungs a rest for 20 mins a day i hate to see them on a x-ray!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would limit any smoking to outside. I find the idea of smoking during a meal disgusting and unnecessary. I commend you for trying to quit, but, you should never have allowed your children to start and then to smoke inside. Put your foot down and have a smoke free zone for meals.

My husband has been a smoker the entire time we have been together (14 years) and he knows that smoking is limited to the outdoors.

I'm sure you would had received tons of advice about cons of smoking and I understand you cannot change your habits just by flip of a switch however if I were in your position I would certainly would like to eleminate or atleast limit smoking on dinner table. This is becuase of your middle son who wants to live healthy but is poisoned by second hand smoke.

Do not allow your kids to smoke in the house either were you not edcuated on the dangers of smoking I think the question should be how long will i live if I continue not whitch table should we smoke at.

I think that you all need to have some consideration for your middle son. He is the only that maybe cares about his health and you need to respect that. All you have to respect each other space and try to don't bother the one that doesn't smoke. I think that you can find another place to do that, or just reduce the smoke in the dinner time,so everybody can be pleased.

Hell no there should be no smoking at all at the dining room table, the smoke can cause you and the others to have loss of appetite, watery eyes and coughing that to is not very appealing....In my opinion, smoking does not belong where others are trying to eat because of these side-effects.

Are you talking about smoking while eating? Cuz that's pretty nasty, and I do smoke. Meal time is for eating no sucking on a smoke. Eat your meal and talk about your day. Have coffee and smokes after you are done with dinner, no matter what room you are in.

sounds like you guys smoke to much ewww and in the house . i hope you dont plan on selling the house. and you cant have anything fancy if you guys smoke that much in the house the tar and nictine cover everything.you should only smoke outside. hope you dont have small kids around. if you do just hand them a pack of luckys with no filter before you let them sat at the table at least they will be killing them selves with the cigs and not just second hand smoke
