According to the National Sleep Foundation, children between the ages of 5-12 will require 10-11 hours of sleep per night. However, the amount will vary depending on the needs of the child. Based on when your daughter needs to be up for school, count backwards 10 hours and make that time her bedtime. If she is still tired in the morning, make bedtime another 1/2 hour earlier. Let her stay up only a 1/2 hour or so later on a non-school night as her natural body clock will probably wake her up about the same time as a school morning anyway.

i have a 10 yr old, and here is the rule. once you are 10 and older, it's 10 at the latest on a school night, 930 if he's crabby. on the weekend it goes up an hour depending on the age, if you are 11 it's 1100 if you're 12 it's 1200, up to a max of 2 am, because kids need their rest. but it's up to you. parenting is about what you think is right. listen to that inner voice !!

School night 10 pm no late so that means homework chores are to be done way before then. bedtime is bedtime should be shower or bathed teeth etc done before 10pm . so at 10pm lights out.
Weekends 11 or 12 on fri or sat
but sundays to thursdays 10 pm
now if your child cant handle getting up in the morning on their own than your gonna have to make bed time earlier.
playtime after school outside, inside, video games etc.
after dinner is homework time and chores.
after that tv relax time.
half an hour before bed should be bath or shower time. but if child showers or baths in morning then they need to awake earlier.

i think its reasonable for you child to go to bed at 9pm on school nights.
weekends (fir and sat) your child should be in bed by 10 or earlier. i think you should try out the 10pm for a couple of weekends and see how it works out. if he is responsible and can wake up in the morning at a decent time, then reward him increments of half hours. this can be a privilege that can be taken away when necessary.

it depends on when your child has to get up in the morning for school........Humans need at least 8 hours of sleep.....So vary it by that time......
And on weekends, Just let him stay up until he passes out lol. based on the time he goes to bed during the week, he will more than likely only stay up about an hour to half an hour past his weekday bedtime =)

have you ever seen asking the toddlers or their mom in the event that they sleep in her (the mum's) mattress while they stay at her living house? If not you ought to discover out what they have of their room at her living house that possibly you do not. Or what she does with them earlier mattress. additionally how long have you ever and their dad been mutually? you say he has been divorced for years, yet did not positioned how long you 2 have been mutually. yet I ought to declare only simply by fact their mum and dad have been divorced for years, would not recommend the toddlers are used to or like the region. to declare that they are is only your opinion. i haven't been with my daughter's organic and organic father experience she exchange into 6 months, and he or she would not like it to in the present day and he or she is 11. You and your fiance you ought to up with a family members bedtime ordinary. earlier bedtime possibly play a board activity with the toddlers, positioned them into mattress, and examine a quick tale. EDIT: I ought to upload. reckoning on how long you 2 have been mutually it is going to not be YOU who consult with the toddlers with regard to the dozing arrangements. it is going to be their dad. Sorry besides the undeniable fact that it relatively is not your place to tell them. And it may basically serve to make you the undesirable guy.
