No fooling, from long experience around the world - tip the bartender and be polite. Tips don't have to be huge, just consistent and visible. For a $5 drink, I'll slip over a buck maybe, but at least some change like $0.50 or $0.75 - a buck would be better They appreciate your monetary support and will pick you out of a crowd of yammering drunks every time you raise your hand or nod your head for another round. Wouldn't you if you were the one tending bar or serving your table?

Sometimes it can be very important to have the bartender or waitstaff in a bar think well of you.

If you can't handle the tipping, just stand in line/wait your turn, put a smile on your face, and be patient.

Shout: Hey Bartender and wave both arms in the air.

If you need another drink, slide your glass to the end of the bar. That usually lets them know you need another drink.
If you are just getting to the bar, go to where the bar splits. But I can say that a bartender usually gets to ya when they do.

Flash a big bill then tip big. We remember and take care of the good tippers just like we remember and avoid serving the non-tippers.

1. Make an argument with one of your colleagues on the table before you start the game..

2. Stretch yourself comfortly and just raise your hand waving your pointing and middle fingers together...

Wave money. I'm serious. Whatever you do, do NOT snap your fingers or whistle. That's a guarantee we won't pay attention to you. We pay attention to money.
