If you were dating my daughter I would want to know where she was at all times, especially if staying out over night. You would be responsible for my daughter I would be trusting you to make sure she was safe. Don't just think about you, show some respect laddy and think how you are going to react when your daughter wants to be out all night (in future years).

Annoying though it maybe, what is the problem? Does the mother ever say no? Have you talked to her about it? At the end of the day she is living with her mother. He mother wants to know when she will be in at night. Its her house. Many mothers worry if their kids don't come home when they expecting them at almost any age. Its the old "while under my roof" syndrome! I can see her point too. Go with the flow for a bit longer. Why do you say it will split you apart?

Well if you really want to be with her you have to respect the rules that her parents have. If she doesnt want to follow the rules set by her parents then, move out. Things will be a lot easier when she has her independence. For the time being just try to work with the rules that her parents hold for her. Tough it out for a while and if you believe she is worth it, then in the end it will be.

She still lives at home and her Mum needs to know she's safe. I think you should respect that. Why should it bother you so much? When she decides to move out, then everything will change but don't let something so petty ruin your relationship.
