I dont have bad credit.I havent had bad credit ever since I was 16.Im just asking on behalf of a friend.

Depends on the problems. If you did something illegal such as lying on a credit application or claiming to a court that you don't have assets when you do, then you could end up prosecuted.

Yes, if they can prove you did it with the intent to do something illegal, like fraud, misrepresentation, thief, deception, shoplifting,
writing bad checks...etc....

No.....there is no law to imprison because of financial difficulties........Unless you do something illegal to gain monies.....
