Know if you need to lose weight

Health specialist use a measure called BMI, short for Body Mass Index. Body mass index (BMI) is a measure of body fat based on height and weight that applies to both adult men and women. This gives a good measure of your total body fat. BMI compares your height and weight. It shows if you are underweight, at a healthy weight, or overweight.

You know how many pounds are there in 1 kg. Do not know let me help you, it is 1 kilogram = 2.20462262 pounds. Check out what your BMI is by using the BMI calculator.

BMI Category
Below 18.5 Underweight
Between 18.5 - 24.9 Healthy Weight
Between 25 - 29.9 Overweight
Over 30 Obese

Look at the BMI chart to find out how much weight you need to lose to move from obese to overweight or from overweight into a healthy range. Knowing this can help you set a good weight loss goal.

My son is 14 and weighs 220lbs he is 6'0 tall. When he was 13 he was your size. Between the ages of 13-14 I think boys must grow a foot taller. If you feel like you are overweight but you do not have an eating problem, I bet you are like my son and the rest of the boys his age, you are just going to shoot up really tall in the next year. Just keep eating right and take viatimans. :)

I'm going to be honest with you so please don't think Im being mean. 5'5 is quite tall for a 13 year old so that has to be taken into account for your weight which is a little high. However it looks to me like your going to grow much taller as puberty continues. So all I think you should do is maintain your wieght and you will probably grow into yourself.

OKAY this is the one thing everybody is going to tell you, so sorry if i'm quoting everybody else:

THERE IS NO NORMAL WEIGHT FOR YOUR AGE.
people in their teenage years are growing all at different rates, and sometimes one thing does not catch up to another. i really wouldn't worry about it. talk to your doctor if you're concerned, but he's probably going to give you the same answer as me.

In the mood for some sort of hot meal? Make a big pot of veggie bean soup, divide into two-cup containers, and store inside freezer. Before bed, place a container within the fridge, then grab it before heading out the door each morning.
