you will find exactly what you are looking for on mainland PUERTO RICO, in RINCON OR ISABELA...both are beautiful laid back non- touristy little surfing towns. miles and miles of gorgeous beaches........however if you the best UNSPOILED BEACHES head to the sister island of CULEBRA...

Yes there is uncrowded beaches but you will have to travel far and maybe get lost a couple of times..

In Guanica (south of the island) they have to beaches

1-is called Guilligan's Island because it looks just like it ..the real name is Cayo Aurora..you'll have to pay a round trip ferry boat (wooden small) to take over... is behind Copamarina in Guanica.
You can also go to Isla Ballena (whale island) right there also.

2-traveling to the North east taking another Ferry you can Visit Culebra "Flamenco Beach"..white sands but No lifeguards available...you make to Fajardo and go to the Pier...I think the price of the fery is $3.00

Use the links to find Maps on How to get there
Print the Copa Marina Map and just go around the Hotel to find the Marina that takes you there.

Enjoy

Ok well i live in Luquillo Puerto Rico, and to me that is the most uncrowded beach in the island. If you do come to P.R. make sure you go to San Juan, Bayamon and Ponce as well as Camuy and Rincon those are very beautiful places to visit.
If you wish to know more, please contact me, i'll even send pictures of where i live.

I personally, only like to VISIT P.R. and come back to N.Y. My family is from there.

In P.R. if you don't have a car your basically screwed, because the stores are in the city, and there are like buses more like vans that pick ppl. up but they stop running I think its at 3-4p.m. and if your in town, you either take a taxi back to your house or walk it.

I found prices are slightly higher in P.R. then here in N.Y.

One thing for sure I totally hate is the mosquito bites!!!! Not even the spray OFF works.
