I have a new red Eclipse Spyder and it looks great. But it looks ugly to put a license plate on the front bumper of that beautiful car. I drove my Ford Mustang for a year without a front plate and never got stopped. The law says you have to have one, but I see many people driving without them. Do the police in Texas ever enforce it?
Footnote: This is a stupid law. I think I may run for Lt. Governor on the platform that I will have it repealed. I will probably win.

I still think it's a stupid law. If all you see is the front bumper of the car that hit you, he must have sped away in reverse. Very unlikely.

It is my understanding that it is no longer required, you can check with DPS though for verification.

If your vehicle is registered in Texas and the law requires a front plate, you can be stopped for not having one and probably will be -- eventually. Forget the esthetics and follow the law.

You an always display it on your fron dashboard
I had a custom show truck years ago which had no place for a plate and in the laws it states that you only have to have it displayed towards the front of the vehicle.

i think Texas is between the only states that in case you pass to site visitors college and pay the great, the infractions won't get placed on your checklist. somebody maximum appropriate me if i'm incorrect right here.

It's not required in the front...so you don't have to worry about taking Dewhurst's job anymore...
