Yes I have the current Registry Mechanic 6.0 an I removed the program even though it is purchased. Finds no may false positives.

In my personal opinon if you want a program that I conside to be the absolute state of the art is: Registry First Aid, from http://www.rosecitysoftware.com This program has many more features an in nine plus years has never removed on good registry key from my system. Only the bad ones. Plus it will give you a backup up each time you run the program that can be found at start, search files, type in: "backups", scan and you will see "rfa backups", open and you have the option to delete or restore.

Plus has far many more options then RM 6.0 RFA, is an excelletn program to remove a spyware program, or virus that is in your registry if you know the name. Will do it for you automatic, instead of having to do a manual if your own personal virus software or spyware software will not remove.

Checks registry for error and give you a check mark with green, yellow and red. I always put a check mark on the red registry key as it can be removed and cause no problems to your system. Plus you have the backup.

Also there is a "Search the Registry. Here is where you type in a spyware or virus name, click on add and then scan. Will find the keys associated for you and you just left click with your mouse over each assoicated key and drop down to where it say delete string. (All gone).

Take it for a spin on the evaluation period and see which one you like the best and which one has the most options for your money.

Its not that easy; it will flag duplicate files but Windows uses some duplicates.
Ccleaner is easier, safer and free.
