Add ten feet to the dimensions of the table , example , table is 4 x 8 , then the room would have to be 14 x 18. This gives you 5 feet of room all the way around the table. These are minimum measurements. For real comfort you will need an even bigger room.

The length of a cue stick from the edge of the table to the wall. When using the stick and bringing it back when making a shot, you do not want it to hit the wall.

depends on what kind of pool table. Is it a bar table? or a league table?
bar table: need at least 16'x16'
league: 20'x20'
it may seem like a lot of room, but you need room for the table plus walking room, and easement for the cues without knocking into someone

the length of the stick as a full perimeter around the table.
meaning the nearest wall or object should not be within the length of the stick from the edge of the table to the item.

Depending on how much people are going to play. I would say about 17 feet by 17 feet. Good luck

I've felt that you need about 8 feet on every side at least, because you have to account for the cue stick, and people trying to get by on occasion.
