I am 13 (one month til 14) and i am only 4'9 and a half tall- is it normal?
how can i get taller? i heard about growth sperts... do they just happen at night on one certain day what if i dont get sleep on that day though i dont get it! is this normal for a guy? my mom is short i am already just as tall as my mom exactly i may be half an inch taller and my dad is normal height he is about 5'8 soo will i get taller
p.s. I am a guy

To be sure you could go to a growth specialist, but my guess is that you will grow to be at least on the shorter end of average. Don't expect to be NBA tall, but also don't worry so much about your height, you are many years before your growth stops.

In all likelihood you will not get as tall as your dad. Average height for a male is 5' 9". Now having said that...I was 5' 2" as a sophomore in high school and I grew to be 5' 10" so don't give up just yet. You will experience a growth spurt one day.

You may not reach your final height until you are 18-19.
Don't be too anxious - you will have growth spurts from 15 -17.

Well you might be short. You must consider you ethnicity. (race) If your mostly asian your average. You might have a short childhood, but then grow a foot or two feet. Give it time. I doubt you've reached yout full growth potential. My adivce to grow is eat a lot of protein and get lots of sleep.

you are short (compared to me, i am 14 and 6 feet tall) dont worry i have a lot of 13 year old friends who are short, around 4'10 to 5'1'', dont worry bout it
