GSP with a dominant victory over Hughes. TKO in the 2nd. It looked like Hughes came in either taking the fight too lightly or with the worst fight plan ever.
Go to Youtube and type in UFC 65. There's one which shows the whole GSP / Hughes fight.

George St. Pierre Dethrones Matt Hughes.
George St. Pierre won last night, he completely dominated Matt Hughes. He dropped Matt Hughes with a Left and Right. Hughes complained about low blows but, George St. Pierre was just to much for him. Hughes was dazed by St. Pierres onslaught of kicks and punches. George St. Pierre kicked Matt Hughes in the head then finished him off at 1:25 of the second Rd.

Round 1
The crowd chants U-S-A as the fight begins. St. Pierre is mixing up low kicks and punches effectively early in the bout. St. Pierre lands a spinning back kick. Georges continues to land a stiff jab. St. Pierre lands a groin kick. The Action stops. St. Pierre immediately kicks Hughes again in the groin. “Big” John halts the action to warn the Canadian. St. Pierre lands a right hand. He lands another then takes Hughes down to the canvas. The Canadian passes to half-guard. St. Pierre lands a knee as Hughes escapes to his feet. Hughes shoots but St. Pierre blocks it and lands a right hand. St. Pierre knocks down Hughes with a punch combo as the round ended. The first round is all St. Pierre, 10-8.
Round 2
St. Pierre lands an inside leg kick that trips up Hughes. St. Pierre lands a brutal left leg headkick then pounces on Hughes with elbows and punches, forcing the referee to stop the fight at 1:25 of the second round. Georges St. Pierre is the new UFC welterweight.

LOL Chrissy you goof nugget. You couldnt pay me to take a beating like Matt Hughes did. Get off his balls for a bit and realize he isnt as good as you wish he was. GSP beat the freakin pants off of him. It was sad to watch. kinda like fighting a toddler.
none of his punches of kicks hurt him BA HA HA HA especially the one that blew his tooth out of his head!!!

The ref stopped the fight way too soon. Hughes coulda got out... You could tell GSP's punches weren't even hurting him, it was bought out I bet. They'll have a tie breaker and Hughes will make GSP remember who his childhood idol was, thats a fact.

GSP was in total control the whole time. Hughes and his over-inflated ego took a well-deserved @$$ whoopin'.
