Usually summer flings are very passionate, romantic and idealistic during their occurence and once fall hits things change dramatically. Your friend's case is not an exception.
He probably had a girlfriend even before going to Greece and just hooked up with your girlfriend because he felt carefree during his summer vacation in a foreign country.
There is no need to keep contact with this person. Your friend surely has many friends close to her and since she feels strong about this guy and not in a friendly manner it would be best for her to end it all together.
Good luck.

Your friend should never have gotten intimate with someone from another place if he was just in for a vacation. Your friend was used. If I were you I would tell her to make sure she doesn't make the same mistake twice. There is really nothing to do in this situation but to get over it. Sorry but it is the truth. He tried to play her for a fool and she fell for it. Too bad so sad.

Whilst holiday romances may on the odd occasion work out & last, not all of them do & they end up being JUST holiday romances. This is the case here, your friend needs to get over him. Harsh? Yes, but that's life unfortunately!

Well, I am not trying to be mean, but she should've figured that something like that would happen. Long distance relationships hardly ever last. Just tell her to be happy that she had a chance to know him and that she should be happy for him. She will find someone new and forget all about him.

well you have to understand that he was in vacation and its totally different. i know that sounds weird but its true! he was all caught up in greece and being anywhere away from home. my advice is to forget about him as anything but a friend and if she cant do that then she needs to talk to him and tell him that she cant do that and that they no longer need to talk. if its going to upset her every time they talk, that would be the best thing for her. good luck! and im sry for being so harsh

So, it was a basic "one night stand" type of super short romance..
This is to be expected, when you get with a guy you just meet and are only with them for a short lived, but fast paced fling..
She will just need to realize it was what it was, nothing more..
have her get out and meet some local guys who are looking for something permanent and longterm..it should not be too hard..

Ho hum.....he's moved on and trying hard not to sound like a complete Cad he tells the girl to keep in touch (as friends) so that he doesn't come across as a player. He probably was though... best thing is to forget him and move on too.....

Tell her not to waste her time & move on. Not such a friend if he forgot to tell her about the girlfriend whilst being luvvie duvvie on Hol. Sounds like he was just after a bit on hol - if you know what I mean.

that's life... your friend should get over it and find someone else. they only knew each other for a short period of time (i can't imagine that they really loved each other). the best thing you can do is be there for her, but don't encourage her to pursue him. long distance relationships suck, and if he's got a new girlfriend then clearly he wasn't that into her anyway.

Your friend needs to cut all ties with him, if he really cared don't you think he would be over.
He has a girlfriend and and life in the UK and he obviously wants things to be that way.
