A dermatologist is your best bet. If you can''t go to one their is over the counter stuff to try like proactiv or it's cheaper (but still effective) counterpart acne free. The best thing to do is don't pick, I know it's difficult not too, but it really does make it worse. Use a mild cleanser with salicyic acid. They have ones for face and body. Wash with it in the morning and at night. The tea tree oil shampoo helped because tea tree oil has natural antibacterial properties. If you absolutely must pop a pimple, make sure it is ready, use a warm compress to open pores. With clean hands use 2 q tips and press down on either side of the zit. Squeeze until the white stops. Wash area, apply a benzoyl peroxide cream. Sorry you have this to deal with, but believe me you are not alone.

I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!
Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:
1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.
2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.
I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn’t use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured…if we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don’t want us to know.
There is a great website: http://cure-my-acne.info/3daycure/ that has all the details. I really suggest you check it out and see if it works as well for you as it did for me.

You have what is called acne vulgaris, and it is nasty, it leaves scars that you will carry the rest of your life. Happily, cases this bad are not common. Best answer, Accutane, but you'll need to see a doc and get a script. Take the amount he/she prescribes..... You may get a flare up several weeks or months after it's all cleared up, so you may need more than one course. Topical stuff only exfoliates the skin, and though helpful, the infection in acne vulgaris is deep. What you want to do is avoid those really bad scars, blue pustules and all the rest of it. Google it for photos. Good luck

You can use skin lightening gel or cream or else get AHA peels or dermabrasion done to remove acne marks. This was suggested by a Cosmetologist Consultant.
