I was looking into the same thing. I was thinking about driving to Kelowna B.C from Baton Rouge. Depending on how long you are willing to drive it will take anywhere between 1-3 days based on driving around 70-80 mph. And that includes going thru construction on the roads.

That depends on how long you're willing to drive in a day and if you obey the speed limits. My estimate would be about three days if you're driving safely and stop for the night after about eight hours.
If you're taking a plane, the flight time is approximately four to four and a half hours.

When I drove from Winnipeg, MB to New Orleans LA, going around the speed limit everywhere, it took us about 22 hours. That was with 3 rest stops.
