Good grief! That certainly was a hasty generalization but even so, thank goodness there are people who like the sand sun and beach so that places like Dominica are not so crowded for the rest of us. We're headed there next month.

I do enjoy those. But, I am an outdoor person and enjoy the Forest and Lakes too. I really have not seen everything in USA, so, not go to other countries much, can not justify the cost, when there plenty to see here. I do have friends on the Inet in other countries and would like to visit them some day.

If you live in a cold, cloudy place like New York, sun and sea are what you lack most of the time.  People who have sun and sea all the time will want to see other things.

I'm strange, I like mountains and I think deserts are neat.

I agree. I'm from England and a lot of people go to Spain for two weeks to lay on a beach and drink beer, but hey if they enjoy it, who am i to tell them otherwise?
