Ok the main problem in lots of citys over the U.K is neds running amok and generally being anti social little twats.

When they are caught doing crimes they always get crappy punishments like getting tagged or community service so wouldnt it make sense if that if your under 24 and your arrested more than twice you would be forced to do national service for say a mininmum of 6 months?

I thihnk this would force these dingbats to respect other people and where they live a lot more!

So are you with me?

Yes, wholeheartedly, but I'm not so sure what a 'ned' actually is? I've heard of chav's obviously.
I definately think that a lot of crime goes unpunished in today's society as the police just think its not worth wasting their precious time on. However I'm not sure if National Service abroad is the best ideaI certainly wouldn't want these hooligans representing our country abroad as I certainly wouldn't want these hooligans representing our country abroad. I think they should be forced to go and learn how to repair the damage they have caused. Then be made to go and repair it in person just to add to the humiliation factor. Perhaps their own property could be seized and sold to pay for any materials and training they receive (just so they would know how it feels when they have their property taken from them). Certainly would be amazing if it taught them respect and responsibility. Yeah, I'm with you on anything you think may work, but I think the main thing is that we need to teach them to how to act towards their fellow countrymen first.

Our armed forces have enough problems at the moment without re-introducing national service.

The regular forces hate the idea.
