Should the law be changed so children of illegal immigrants DO NOT get U.S. citizenship?

Don't even get me started. I have so many problems with the immigration problem in the US I am not even sure where to begin. The bottom line is that we spend billions on social welfare programs for people that contribute nothing more to this country than provide cheap labor. I don't think it is unreasonable to ask that these folks go thru the legal immigration progress, and then become a productive "tax paying" citizen.

No, we shouldn't change the law like tht. That will just make those kids rebellious. It's not the kids' fault that their parents came here illegally. And if we never give them a chance to become legal then we can't expect them to pay any taxes too. The benefits they get everyday like K-12 education, welfare etc come out of the legal citizens pocket. So if we give them one chance to become legal then they will also pay taxes and contribute to this country. If don't allow them to become legal then they will just become criminals, drug dealers and we all know how much damage that does to everything.

C'mon, those corporations need those cheap workers-if there's one thing the US and Republican Party believes in, it's corporate welfare! That's why they're building the superhighway! How very clever of them to make people believe all the ills of the US are the illegal immigrants fault.

Why should innocent children pay for the problems in our nation. They shouldn't. Its called reform. Look to where the government is, and make a change if you don't like whats happening now. Don't blame innocent children.

No it's not. And if you watch the news enough you will see many places across the US are falling in line on cracking down on illegals.

HA HA HA. My answer is NOOO !!!. I live in california and there are a whole lot of undocumented peoples and they destroy america. they over populate los angeles, they go and mess up schools, kill people, take up peoples job, make gangs, they take money and give it back to their home country, they dont pay taxes, they dont speak english, they dont value education, pretty much they ruin america. They shouldn't be in schools because they dont care about education and cant speak english. I am really pissed off because illegals just steal money from us and give it to themselves and back to people in their dam home country. So more can come over. They dont even know how much damage they are doing to america. GOD BLESS AMERICA AND SPANISH SPEAKING COUNTRIES. GOD BLESS THAT PEOPLE IN SPANISH SPEAKING COUNTRIES DONT COME HERE ILLEGALY AND THAT THEY COME HERE LEGALY. To let everyone know 1 million people + there family comes here LEGALY NOT ILLEGALY.

It's not fair, if we went to their countries would they help us? Doubt it. That's why they come here, because their own governments don't care for them. But it's not the children's fault either, and if we don't try to educate them than we'll just get more criminals. We need to secure our borders to minimize their entry.

No, it's not fair- but the illegals still find stuff to bee-yotch about anyway.

That would be inconstitutional because you would be negating the right to citizenship by soil based on a discriminatory criteria.
