if i were you i wouldn't be asking other people for ideas unless they know you really well. this is going to be on your body for the rest of your life so you want to make sure that you absolutely love the story behind the tattoo and the tattoo itself. i would wait until you find something with meaning behind it. when people ask you why you got that tattoo i'm sure you'd rather say something other than, "i just really wanted one" or "i asked yahoo answers".
just take your time in choosing it. good luck!

Ideas for tattoos are everywhere. You can pretty much get anything you want tattooed on you, it's whether or not it has meaning for you and will continue to be meaningful for years to come.
Some people spend years creating their tattoos from life changing events to commemorating a special memory. Look at what's most meaningful to you and go from there.
I think people find it so hard finding designs because they are trying to find the meaning in an already made design they like rather than creating something from within themselves.
All I can say is take your time and look all around you. It will come.

TattooFinder.com...It has thousands of tattoos...I have 5, they are all in easy to cover up places (out of respect for my parents and others), yes some people think that they make you look cheap and that's their opinion, but in the end it is an extension of who you are, as I said I have 5, my hubs doesn't have any at all and is not going to get any in the future and that's fine too. Just make sure its what you want...I worked at a tattoo shop for awhile and lots of people come in and pick one off the rack, I do not suggest this...look around on the Internet...take your time, find something that means something to you, if you find one that you really like, print it out and hang it up where you will see it all the time, leave it there for a week or so and see how you feel looking at it everyday, one day you might like it and at the end of the week you might be tired of it or you might love it even more... I hope this helps some.

Most any thing, drawing, picture can be sketched by a tattooo artist and transferred to your body. A tattoo is permanent, think about how you, your loved ones, and friends will feel in years to come. Best to keep in an area that can be covered in some way with clothing. Looks very tacky and cheap when you are in a working environment. People aren't as understanding and "forgiving" as you may think. I'm speaking through experience of myself and friends.

lilbig_t is correct. Just browse pictures of things you think you would like. When you find something, copy and print and take to the Tattoo Parlor and show them.

there really isn't anything besides just typing in things that you like. for example, I got one tattoo from a necklace pendant that I found a picture of online. or you could try looking for "tattoo" in yahoo or google images.

you shouldn't want to get a tattoo just to have one. You should just see something you love & decide that what you want tattooed not the other way around

don't do it. find something you like, think about it for 6 mths or more. if you can say, yes, i will like it on my body for the rest of my life, then go for it. DO NOT ask total strangers what you should get. get a skull and cross bones! look on google.com or ask.com, but don't get anything that you haven't thought about long and hard.
