I'm in a new relationship with a guy who sometimes has trouble getting it up. He doesn't smoke or do drugs, or drink much, and he has no medical problems and he does not take medication. And I'm not unattractive or fat or anything. So it must be psychological and emotional. Guys who have had this problem, what were you feeling? Is it true that the guy needs to feel like the girl loves him and that gets him aroused? Do I need to be tender and sweet and kiss him a lot? Passionate kissing seems to arouse him.

It could be nervousness. Make sure you're in a comfortable environment where you won't be interrupted. Also, you do all the work for awhile and just give give give. If that doesn't work, there could be a dysfunction there, of which he might need to talk to a Dr. about it.

Don't blame yourself for this.I only had this problem 1 time in my long long life. The lady was a real knock out.I was afraid that I wouldn't satisfied her.WE gave each other oral sex and up it came. You have the right idea though. The sweet passionate tender kisses. Also a couple of people answered it could be nerves and I believe they have the right answer.I was also afraid her kids would come home .Good luck.Oh yea I don't have that problem any more and I'm 69 years old.Being old is a lame excuse

I think you have already found your answer. However the cold hard fact is that, (and guys just hate to admit this) we DO sometimes have a "performance" problem.

Seeing as how he is having this problem, it very well could be a hidden medical or psychological problem.

The worst thing you could do to him is to make a big deal out of this with him. This is a very very touchy area for men in general, and the best way for you to help him, is to go easy and gentle. Talking with him, and getting him to go to the doctor's for a complete check up would be the first best and smartest place to start.

There can be many reasons for this. It is important that he swallows his pride and consults a doctor.

There are many treatments available, ranging from Viagra (old hat now), Cialis (much better) through to surgery in extreme cases.

Whatever, it is enough of a problem for you to come here to ask, so in both your interests he really needs to sort it.

Unless of course he prefers other guys?

Well, maybe he is nervous. My husband and I , on our first date as couple, he had that problem, but it was because of his nerves. Maybe this guy likes you a lot, and at the same time, tries to make a good impression, and it's doing the contrary. Don't worry, try to ease up. Give each other massages, and try to be in a situation without stress. Touch him, caress him, and make him feel comfortable, you'll see he'll be alright. GOOD LUCK!

I have had the same problem since I was young too. It definitely helps to feel that the girl truly loves me. For me it has always been 'stage fright'. I would think about it too much instead of just letting it happen. You just have to be patient. And for me, no joking, once things get going we made love for hours. So it was worth the extra effort.

Low testosterone. Have him see his doc. Or he's gay and he needs the long kissing to imagine Brad Bitt in your place.

No guy needs to know a woman loves them to have sex, roflmao!!! Guys will do it with any woman breathing and sometimes that doesn't matter. You guy has issues, not sure with you or him but he needs to seek help.
