Or gals consider this as mere routine or rituals?

No it is NOT old fashioned...and NO gals don't consider it a "routine". It's wonderful to do this...it shows you will miss her while you're away, and tells her you love her. Never stop and your marriage will be a great success

Kissing your wife goodbye in the morning is the best thing you could do...this, in my opinion, should never be considered old fashioned. I think it should be a daily ritual that everone should practice :)

Another one I have to respond to.
I kiss my wife when I leave (sometimes, just when I leave the house to bring out the trash) and I kiss her when I come home.

It never crossed my mind to inquire whether she wanted me to or not. I want to. I also open doors for her, put the toilet seat down for her, kill spiders for her, and a thousand other 'little' things that, I hope, tell her that she is the most important person to me.

One other thing, to echo another answer, supposed you left the house and went to work without kissing your wife and telling her how much you love her. Supposing you never saw her again. Not kissing her one last time, not telling her how much you love her.

Old fashioned? If it is, it's one of the few things that make the 'good old days' good old days.

Let me ask you a few questions that should answer your own questions i think....
Does it matter what we think??? Shouldnt it be more important what your wife thinks not us???
what if everyone who answered your question says it is old fashioned will you stop kissing your wife goodbye??? Or if the response it that its nice etc you will kiss her more???
We are not married to you and neither love you or do your chores... the only person doing all that is your wife so ask her!!!

No, its a wonderful, sweet, and caring thing to do for her. Just make sure there is meaning and feeling in the kiss everyday, its not just part of your morning routine. It makes her feel special and loved every morning before you will be gone for the whole day.

it should never be called or considered old fashioned.. it shows your love and that should be done daily.. not as a ritual but from the heart..

That is great! My husband used to do that but somehow just got away from it. My parents have been married for 37yrs. and he NEVER leaves w/out kissin' her goodbye. What if it were the last time u would see them? That's very nice of u!

No way. I would love it if my husband kisses me goodbye everyday, but only if he wants to not if he has to. Besides, it shows that you still love your wife and wishes her a good day. What's so wrong with that?

i'd be extremely disappointed if my husband didn't kiss me and say goodbye before leaving the house. if stuff comes up (overtime and such,) i might not see him for a few days!! a call from work just doesn't cut it.
