Any perishable--including fruit juice--will eventually go bad if left out. The question is: WILL LEAVING IT OUT FOR 30 MINS at a time cause it to go bad FASTER? I don't know if there have been any scientific experiments to demonstrate this, but it's unlikely that juice that has been properly cooled will, in just 30 minutes, warm up enough in normal room temperature to begin to ferment. Go ahead and put a digital thermometer in the carton when you take it out... and then 30 mins later. It likely won't warm more than a few degrees. In fact, it is more likely that--if you are drinking it often enough--it will be long gone before there are enough repetitions of the "30-minute-OJ-on-the-table-incident" for anything bad to happen to it.
I am a nut about keeping things fresh and 30 mins wouldn't bother me with OJ. Now, if you want to talk about MILK or other dairy products, then we have a problem because they are simply so much more susceptible to bacteria, spoiling, etc.
Relax... and drink your juice!
Eric
P.S. 99.99% of all store-bought juices are DEAD juices... with all enzymes KILLED during pasteurization. This means there is little nutritive value in it. You're basically drinking sugar water. Enzymes (live proteins) die when the juice is heated (pasteurized) at 120 degrees. So, if you want to drink something that actually is GOOD for your body, squeeze it yourself and drink it immediately. That way you flood your body with LIVE enzymes which help support your body functions in more ways than you can imagine!

I hear ya'. I'm the same way with butter, milk, etc. If it should be in the 'fridge then, by gum, put the stuff back in the 'fridge! Not only does it last longer, but it better for your health. Bacteria loves warm, wet, stuff. Keep it cool, fool! is a saying I remember from way back when. (How far back, I ain't sayin'!) I always use the stuff I'm using, then pop it right back in the 'fridge. 'Nuff said. Hope this helps. Ciao!

While for 30 minutes it won't go bad, I'm the same way as you and put it back right away. Who likes warm OJ anyway?
