It's not really a nuisance if it's free for them, I wouldn't think.

Best Regards,

It is not rude to ask people to call you back. But remember that with cell phones, people only get "Free Minutes" on Saturday & Sunday; and after 7pm (or after 9pm) on Weekdays.

People with cell phones have to pay if you call them during the day on weekdays--so try not to call people's cell phones during the weekday. Even when you call them--they still have to pay for the "air-time".

Call them on Saturday or Sunday and just say "Do you have free minutes now? Do you mind calling me right back?"..They will always be happy to call you back. People with cell phones use the weekend to call friends and family members to talk for free.
Good Luck

Sure it's ok. Why not. I use a prepaid cell and I don't let people chat with me on it; I tell folks calling me that I'll call them back when I get home, unless it's an emergency.

If you are the one who needs to call them, then you make the call to them from your landline phone.

Of course it is all right. Why throw away money when there is a simple solution that will work for all?
