yes, if it was for a good cause I probably would cough up more than 1 penny. That's just the type of person I am.

Sure, but how would they get the penny? It costs money for the charity to ask for a penny. Not cost effective.

It depends on how they plan on collecting this penny. I would be suspicious of any website that wants to collect my credit card information. I think it would fall under the too good to be true category.
