"If pigs had wings, could they fly?" The problem with both questions is that the premise is false. Killing an innocent person will not, in fact, end world hunger.

Sort of like "How many angels can fit on the head of a pin?" (although that one at least had some theological discussion behind it).

Pseudo-philosophical questions like these generally don't yield fruitful answers (in the sense of real insights), but they can be a fun parlor-game or way to pass the time and get acquainted with friends.

By 1 person dying it would save millions, but I dont think I could do it. I could kill myeslf though if it meant an end to world hunger (and no I'm not suicidal)

Naw, don't be silly. There isn't enough meat on one singel person to do that. You'd have to pull a Hitler or Poll Pot or something like that to get enough meat from murdered people to end world hunger. Then, you'd have to keep it up as long as the people whom you were feeding were unwilling or unable to feed themselves. Soon, only hungry people would be left. Then what?

I'd be skeptical about that lone person being the true reason of world hunger.

Not if there was another choice.

And then it would only be if I had the other persons consent then yes. After all, I may be ending one life but I'd be saving millions.

I would want to, but I can't kill people, I don't have the heart to.

Also, just because 99% of people in this world say murdering is wrong, doesn't mean it really is because you can't prove what's right and what's wrong. We all have different morals.

Yeah why not. Millions of innocent people die to NOT end world hunger, so why not if ONE innocent person died to stop it, they would be immortalised...I might even volounteer myself...Emphasis on might!!!

If I somehow knew that this would actually pan out as intended, at it also included lower fertility so that there weren't suddenly 60 billion of us, then...

I would not be the killer, but I'd be willing to be the killee.
