I prefer to stretch before and after. Some people I know do this too while others disagree and tell me you should never stretch cold your muscles should be warm first. I'v e always learned if you stretch before you prevent more injuries.

Before and after is fine if you are doing just normal static stretching (holding it in one place). If you are doing more advanced stretching you need to be properly warmed up first.

Stretching "cold" muscles will not lead to long term gains in flexibility, rather it will lend temporary flexibility in the muscles which may help prevent some injuries.

The most recent studies I've read say warm up before, stretch after for best results & that pre-stretching doesn't really prevent injuries that much. (But it can't hurt as long as it's done right)

Well yeah its better to do it twice. You can get on a machine or jog for like a min and then stretch. After the workout you should always stretch, this helps your muscles relax. It will also help you avoid having a pulled muscle. Do it for as long as you can, if not at least 5 mins.

Anyone who says that you not stetch before exercise is wrong. You stretch before exercise to prevent injury. You stretch after exercise to increase flexibility.
You should devote at least 10 minutes to slow static stretching before exercise, focusing on the hamstrings, back, groin and neck. I have noticed that with age, it has become necessary to increase this pre-exercise routine to 15 - 20 minutes.
After exercise stretching should be focused on whatever areas need the most work.

You are right. Stretching before prevents injuries and stretching after prevents your muscles from tightening up.

you should stretch before and after exercise.
Warm up gently and then stretch. When you have finished exercising stretch again.

It's best to stretch after you have warmed up, such as a slow jog, and after you're finished.
