Can someone tell me what I would use to fix baseing for a can or oven cook ham?

I'm sorry, I don't know what you mean.

Score the ham with a sharp knife. Try mixing brown sugar and melted butter, and press onto the ham before cooking. Pineapple slices and maraschino cherries are good, too. Stick whole cloves into the ham. Baste with pineapple juice and pan drippings during roasting.

Orange juice is good, too. If you are making sweet potatoes, baste the ham with the juice from those, too.

Do you mean basting? My favorite is a beer marinade with garlic. I hate those marmalades and syrup and cloves with ham. Ick.
