Good point. I get sick and tired of having to change age old traditions over the feelings of some. I mean, no one has to obeserve the birth of Christ to celebrate Christmas. Some just celebrate it as a holiday season, and do only the family and present stuff.

Jesus is Not the reason for the season, it is a pagan holiday that was started by the catholic church to satisfy the people. Look it up. Jesus was not born on December 25th Look it up. I dare you!!!! Type the origin of Christmas in the web search line. Do it!!
I am a Christian and I do like Christmas and spending it with my frifriends and family. But I know the truth about it's origin. I do not think the name of it should be changed. Let the muslims and the others keep their days and we will keep ours. They would not change for us and we do not need to change for them. Merry Christmas

I agree with you that we should not change traditions over foreign citizens who may take offense. Even many Christians go along with Christmas even though many believe Christ was born in the warm months. Did you Know that Saint Nicholas is real? not the real Santa Claus we think of but it was named after him because there was a man they called Saint Nick who delivered things to the needy...toys,etc. Its interesting. But its an AMERICAN tradition and if they don't like it, they can leave AMERICA.

I dont know why they would change the name since we don't even celebrate it. We do, however- respect Jesus and he is in our holy scripture as well as in your bible. I would never excpect a holiday of a seperate religion to change their beliefs or their acts of worship or names of worship as to not offend me.

It doesn't matter what it's called..."Jesus is the reason for the Season", as they say! :-)
