Well, I lost 20+ pounds in about 2 months on the Medifast diet. It really does work. As for ab exercises, you can't beat pilates, they really work great!

My husband recently atteneded a seminar to lose weight. He was given some good advice. Start the morning with fruit ot meats,or eggs and water. No coffee no toast no cereal, or even potatoes this will help to kick your own metabolism into high gear and help to burn off excess weight . Do this for at least three days to keep yur metabolism going. It was a week ago yesterday he attended and he has lost almost 11 pounds. To help tighten the abs lay on your back and do the bicycle do crunches I hope this helps.

It will take at least 2-4 months. If it is any quicker it will not work or it will come back, quickly.
Do cardio for 30 minutes 3-4 times a week. Do strength training (working your abs) 2-3 days a week. Eat well, and exercise. It is fool proof.

I found this awsome site online where if you sign up before Friday it's completely free. Not only did this site help me with weight loss (offering numerous different plans that all seemed to work) but also depression, anxiety and stress. I've lost over 40 pounds over the past three months and my self esteem is at new hieghts. See for yourself:

Instant microwave soutions do not help at all. The rebound tends to be worse.
Patience, exercise, and a balanced diet will help. Ready mix solutions will not. Wake up, if all the quick solutions really worked everyone would be really slim. Don't kid yourself.

you can't spot reduce. to get ripped abs you need to decrease your overall body fat and you can't just do that by doing situps. you have to do hardcore cardio AND strengthen your abs doing whatever ab exercise you choose.
i hope you can get rid of those stretch marks, too.
