Its not bad but make sure you are doing it for the right reasons. I think at 16 you shouldnt be worrying about this stuff. Have fun with your friends and do teenager stuff. I would recommend waiting until 18 but that is just me. Girls carry alot of emotion and mixing sex in a relationship is a big deal and can be 100 times more hurtful if it ends and that is alot for a 16 year old to take on

It is totally ad. You should have waited u ntil you were married when you know real love not just raging hormones. I proudly have a son who is 18 and is still being a good young man . Just because it is the norm in the US does not make it right. Being different is better. Are you ready for a child or would you just abort it because it is the norm? Alot of things to think about in realtion to sex and for a guy if the girl gets pg and he wants the child he can not stop her from killing it.

If you have done the "deed" already, to late. But if not, DON'T!!!You can never take it back, you WILL regret it, feel guilty, and remember, a boy/man will say "anything" to get what he wants, you - You - the "woman" has to say NO! You are way too young, talk to older girls that you know and I will bet my pay cheque the will tell you that after doing it! nothing was the same again..boys loose respect and expect it from you. Every boy will know and want - hang on - wait until your into your career and you know what you want in a Man... guys under 30 and single are all the same, want the same thing, and once they get it, they brag about it, and move on in most cases. Respect yourself and the only thing that belongs to Only You, YOUR BODY, don't share it with anyone. Good Girl, now listen OK?

There have been studies listing early (before age 18 in some research) sexual activity in females as a cause of cancer of the cervix.

Is losing your virginity at 16 bad? I guess it depends on your point of view.

Well, you should probably wait a little longer... 16 is YOUNG!! Whatever you do keep it wrapped up. There is stuff out there that can kill you and that can't be cured... There are studies out showing a resurgance of HIV/AIDS in the US... Its really scary!

No, but you are going to wish you had it back at 20 when someone REALLY special comes along, and you experience ADULT love for the first time.

What you are doing now PALES in comparison.

Losing your virginity in and of it's self is not bad, but how you lost it and the possible ramifications of losing it could be depending on the situation and character of the one you lost it to.

I don't think you can classify it as bad. As long as it was consensual, you used protection and you are happy it is good! If you felt forced or are now unhappy about the choice you might think before you do it again. Sex is not bad. Just be smart and make sure it is something you want.
